Our Annual General Meeting took place on Thursday 20th November. 819 students (including proxies) attended to debate and determine the direction of their Students’ Union. Below you will find a summary of the results of that meeting.
Your Officers are mandated to work on motions that are passed at the meetings and will keep students informed on their progress. Where the result of an item or motion requires further actions, we will update students throughout the process.

ITEM TWO: Minutes from previous meeting approved
The minutes from the previous meeting are reviewed by attendees to ensure that a record of decisions is accurate.
Action: Minutes to be published on the Students' Union website.
ITEM FIVE: Affiliations
The Students' Union confirms its affiliations at every AGM – the two affiliations are: National Union of Students (NUS), and British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS).

ITEM SIX: Questions to the Trustees
Questions submitted to the trustees were answered by the Sabbatical Officer team.
ITEM SEVEN: A Proposed Restructuring of the Sabbatical Officer Team PASSED
A proposed restructure of the Sabbatical Officer Team was approved. The proposed structure will consist of the following Sabbatical Officer roles:
- Students’ Union President
- Vice President Postgraduate Students
- Vice President Undergraduate Students
- Vice President Cymraeg
- Vice President International Students
- Vice President Sports and Athletic Union President
- Vice President Societies and Communities

ITEM NINE: Notice of Elections
We hold Elections twice a year; in the Autumn and in the Spring. The nominations period for the Spring Elections 2026 will be open from 15th January until 16th February 2026.
