We’ve fixed the cash point!
Last year, students asked for more cash points at the Heath, so the Students’ Union installed a cash point at the IV Lounge. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, this year the cash point was unable to be filled. We understand the frustration about this, as there are so many ways students tell us that they want more cash points – including the NSS and our recent Red Brick research.
With a new Director of Finance, our problem has been solved! You will notice the cash point being removed from the IV Lounge altogether next week. A few days later a new one will be installed, and then a couple of days later it will start to be filled. As an external company has taken on the responsibility the cash point will be more reliable (i.e. will have cash in it!).
The hope is to develop this further and have a “hole in the wall” type cash point put into the exterior wall of the IV Lounge for 24 hour access over the summer. Fingers crossed, and you heard it here first!
