Event Information
Join us for a taster of what the Trail Running group gets up to - A "Rail-Trail" to Garth Hill.
What to expect from the session:
We will catch the 07:02am train from Cathays train station to Taffs Well.
From here we will run ~8km on footpaths, trails and small amount of road. Expect mud!
This is a relaxed pace (~6min/km) and no-one gets left behind. We have breaks to admire the view, take photos and rest.
Once we have returned to Taffs Well, we will catch the train back into Cathays. We usually return back around 9am (this is an estimate as it can vary on trains and pace of group).
What to bring:
Headtorch essential - it will be dark for the first part of the run
Off-road running shoes desirable - they will get muddy! Grippy shoes are advantageous.
An extra layer of clothing (light raincoat, running jacket etc) - to keep warm waiting at the stations
Optional - water, a snack.
Please note - there is nowhere to store bags. All belongings brought will have to be carried by the participant for the duration of the session.
