Cnoi Cil (Welsh for ‘ruminate’) is the first of its kind event hosted by Cardiff University Psychology Society, bringing you the opportunity to take learning outside the lecture theatre and into your local! 🧠🍻

We’re bringing together academic expertise and a relaxed pub atmosphere, with talks from professionals in their fields. Whether you love getting stuck into the academic side of psychology, enjoy a good debate, or simply fancy trying something a little different with your friends, this is the perfect opportunity to learn something new in a more informal setting!

Our evening will feature two fascinating talks:

- ‘The Psychology of Life and Death Decision Making’ with Professor Rob Honey

- ‘In Defence of Password1’ with Mordecai Otter

Come along, grab a drink, get comfortable and enjoy some thought-provoking psychology beyond the course specification! Our committee will be there too, so it’s a great chance to meet fellow psychology students, have a chat and get to know the society.

Although the event is hosted in a pub, there is absolutely no pressure to drink alcohol! You’re welcome to come along for the talks, the company and the learning, whatever you choose to drink.

We want our events to be as welcoming and accessible as possible. If you have any accessibility requirements, would like to discuss any accommodations, or have any questions before attending, please don’t hesitate to DM us at @cu_psychsoc or email [email protected]. We’ll be happy to help!

We can’t wait to bring you our first Cnoi Cil, see you there!
