Join Psychology Society, in collaboration with the School of Psychology, for an academic talk from Professor Geoff Haddock on whether thinking about children can shape the way we think and behave towards others. 🧠👨‍🏫

This event is open to all students from every discipline, not just psychology. The question of what motivates people to be kind is relevant to almost any degree, whether you’re in education, healthcare, social work, law, business, the arts or the sciences. No background knowledge is needed, just curiosity.

Professor Geoff Haddock's research mainly focuses on the psychology of attitudes, including how attitudes form and change, and how people’s values get translated into action. That includes work on what motivates people to act in prosocial ways, such as helping, caring and cooperating with others.

Take 40 minutes out of your day to broaden your horizons, hear how an academic approaches this topic in their own research, and have an opportunity to join in with the discussion rather than just taking notes.

If you have any accessibility requirements or further questions about what to expect, just let a committee member know by DMing us on Instagram at @cu_psychsoc or emailing [email protected] in advance.

See you there! 🗣
