The Penrhys walking Pilgrimage is to the statue of Our Lady of Penrhys. Located on the side of a large hill, this shrine was and remains a very important pilgrimage location. Alongside the statue, there is also a holy well.
The hike itself is rather strenuous. It is only around 7 kilometers, but most of this is on uneven ground and the start (and end) is a rather steep hill, so be prepared for the difficulty! Make sure to dress for the weather as well, for there is little shelter on the walk from the rain.
To ensure that we do not overbook the event and have the facilities to transport everyone to the start of the pilgrimage, please do book a ticket or contact one of the CathSoc committee!
