Raise and Give

Race for the Rainforest

Sat 06 March 2027 13:00-17:00

Tickets

£10.00 (General)

Join us to save Britain's temperate rainforest in partnership with the WPlivinglaboratory to fundraise for the Thousand year trust. Our goal is to raise money and have fun, why not join in?

How it works:

The goal is simple: Complete the course as fast as you can as a team, your team will tackle Bute park on foot, on wheels, or through challenges.

Cyclists: 10km laps
Runners: 5km laps
Walkers: 3km laps

A challenge checkpoint will be located across the loop, to check in with your challenge tackling teammates and pick up resources to get you through the race!

Why are we doing this?

We are fundraising for the William Parkinson Living Laboratory on the rooftop of Europe’s first temperate rainforest research station with the Thousand Year Trust.
This legacy is in honour of William Parkinson who passed suddenly and unexpectedly at 26, our goal is to continue his passion for bettering the world around him through this research.

Donations and prizes:

Tickets cost £10 per team member.

We hope that each individual can raise £30-£40 on top of this by encouraging friends and family to buy donation tickets - don’t forget to get your supporters to put your name on the donation tickets so we can keep track of the individuals who raise the most money!

There will be a prize for the winning team and a prize for the individual who raises the most money overall!
