The Russian revolution to this day continues to be slandered as a "coup", and Lenin as a dictator. In reality, this revolution was the workers and masses of Russia entering onto the scene of politics and taking things into their own hands. The Bolsheviks were able to lead this seizure of power through gaining the trust of the majority of people in Russia, and Lenin played a crucial role within this.

What lessons can we learn from the Russian revolution? How did the Bolsheviks win the trust of the masses? And why do we study this historic event today?
