Event Information

Arrive at the field at 1:45pm for a 2pm start! The aim of the session is to give you an idea of the type of training we will be doing as we prepare ourselves for the upcoming BUCS Baseball and Softball season, starting with a home game against Bournemouth at Llanrumney on the 10th, October!

What to expect from the session:

• A brief introduction to the group
• We will warm up with some games, and some static and dynamic warmups
• We will then get you involved in some drills, designed to show you just some of the aspects of Baseball, from ground balls to batting

What to bring:

• Appropiate exercise wear and footwear
• Cleats (if you have them)
• We will be outdoors - bring a warm layer just in case
• Water

How to reach the field:

The field is located right next to the Blackweir Bridge, which is very close to Talybont South. 

On foot:

Search up Blackweir Bridge on maps and follow the directions given. On the map, you should be able to see "Cardiff Merlins Baseball Club" on a nearby field to the bridge. You will be able to see us there. 

By car:

Head to "Pontcanna Fields Car Park". You may want to bring some cash for parking just in case. Head into the park where there should be a path headed forwards on your left. Walk down that path and the Baseball field will be on your left.
