We are Teddy Bear Hospital, and we are a student-led society open to all Healthcare Students (With an enhanced DBS Check).
Our aim is to reduce children's fears of hospitals, doctors and dentists through play.
We visit children at school or in after-school scouting groups such as Rainbows, Cubs and Brownies and use the fun medium of teddies and our stations to teach them about basic anatomy, teeth-brushing, germs and healthy eating.
Our GIAG will involve a short talk about what our society and volunteering involves, followed by safeguarding training. Volunteers will not be able to attend visits without attending our safeguarding training.
