Get ready for the ULTIMATE Freshers challenge as the halls of Cardiff go head-to-head in an epic game of dodgeball!
Come on your own, with your flatmates, or bring your entire accommodation and battle it out against other halls for bragging rights, glory and some fantastic prizes.
Whether you're a dodgeball champion or just looking to meet new people and have a laugh, this is the perfect way to kick-start your Freshers' experience.

๐ป The Taf bar will be open throughout the event, so whether you're competing or cheering on your mates, you can grab a drink and soak up the atmosphere.
๐ Dodgeball Rules
๐ค Play in the spirit of the game. Dodgeball is all about having fun, meeting new people and enjoying a bit of friendly competition.
๐ Be kind. Respect your teammates, opponents and event staff. We're here to make sure everyone has a brilliant Freshers' experience.
๐ Play by the rules. Play honestly, respect the game and help keep the competition fair for everyone.
๐งโ๏ธ Follow the referee. Referee decisions are final and must be followed at all times.
๐ซ No dangerous play. Deliberately aggressive behaviour or actions that put other players at risk may result in you or your team being removed from the competition.

Cardiff Students' Union hosts the only official Freshers' events in Cardiff.
Be cautious – many events advertised online are not affiliated with Cardiff University or the Students' Union.

๐ง๐ค๐ง Entry Policy
Student ID required.
Advance tickets guarantee you entry until the event start time. After this time, tickets remain valid; however, entry will be subject to venue capacity.
Student guests are permitted – one guest per Cardiff University student. You must provide valid photo ID (passport or driving licence) and an alternative student ID card.

Providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment is fundamental to how we run every Freshers' event. As a not-for-profit organisation, we invest heavily in trained staff, welfare provision and clear policies designed to help everyone enjoy themselves safely.
Please follow instructions from event staff at all times and let us know if you have any concerns during the event.
