About G FlipAcclaimed singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist G Flip is stepping into a newcharacter they have coined as Butch Springsteen while revving the engine on a thrilling newalbum era, an ‘80s-inspired blast where no drumbeat is too big and neon signs flash and glowover a raucous Sunset Boulevard. Following themassive success of their sophomore effort, 2023’sDRUMMER, which debuted at No. 1 on theARIA Charts and was named best album of the year by Triple J,Dream Ridefinds theMelbourne-born, LA-based musical polymath playing every instrument and teaming back upwith co-writer/producer Aidan Hogg to create an album both unpacks their experience as aqueer, non-binary artist and is unabashedly inspired by Bruce Springsteen, late-night drivesaround Los Angeles, ‘80s reverb, and maximalist drums. Introducing this new era is theexuberant “Disco Cowgirl,” which rumbles in with the sound of a car engine and capturestheache of fleeting love and its emotional aftermath. Already a force of personality and multi-faceted artistry, G Flip is putting rubber to the road onDream Ride, which burns so hot it’ll leavea trail of flames in the rearview.
