Student Minds Cardiff is a Student Led Service, helping to support students with eating difficulties by facilitating weekly self-help support groups. We also aim to raise awareness of all mental health disorders through campaigns, and host fundraising events throughout the year.
The self-help support groups are held every Thursday, 6.15-7.15pm, in room 4H at Cardiff University Students’ Union. (The first session being 12th October). In our self-help groups two trained student facilitators are present to ensure a safe, non-triggering environment for pro-recovery discussion.
Not only do we run support groups but we also host events to raise awareness of mental health! Last year we ran many campaigns and events including University Mental Health Day, Eating Disorder Awareness Week, yoga sessions and collaborative pub quizzes!
We achieved the award for Best Student Led Service in 2014/15 and 2016/17, and Best Fringe Event for our Inner Child Day in 2016/17
