We welcome everyone, from complete beginners picking up a basketball for the first time to experienced players looking to compete at a high level.
Whether you want to represent the university in BUCS, develop your skills in one of our competitive teams, or simply become part of a fun and supportive community, there's a place for you here.
We're more than just a sports club. CUWB is built on friendships, team spirit, and creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels included. Our socials are a huge part of club life, making it easy to meet new people, make lifelong friends, and become part of one of the best communities at Cardiff.

Freshers Information:
We will have a stand at The Freshers' Fair on the 28th and 29th of September. This is the perfect opportunity to meet committee members and ask any questions you may have!
Give it a Go and Trials:
Our GIAG is on Monday 28th September from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Our trials are on Tuesday 29th September from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and Thursday 1st October from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Both take place at the Talybont Sports Training Village. The address is: 12 Bevan Pl, Cardiff CF14 3UX.
Training Sessions:
Our weekly training sessions also take place at the Talybont Sports Training Village (CF14 3UX), and run as follows:
— Tuesday from 7.00 to 8.30 p.m. (Team 1 and 2)
— Thursday from 5.00 to 7.00 p.m. (Team 2, 3 and Social Members)
— Friday from 7.30 to 9.00 a.m. (Everyone welcome)
— Sunday from 6.30 to 8.00 p.m. (Team 1 only)
Games:
Games are usually held on Wednesdays, and team sheets are confirmed on Tuesday evenings.
Socials:
We host weekly Wednesday socials. Information on location, timings and themes will be posted in our social group chat and Instagram. We are excited to announce that we will be partnering with Misfits this year to bring you exclusive members discounts, monthly socials, a Christmas after-party, and varsity rollover. In addition, we will also be hosting a Christmas Meal and end-of-year awards evening! Sober socials will also be hosted throughout the year in addition to regular fundraising events.
