Why should I join the Rugby League club?
We are one of the newest and fastest growing clubs at Cardiff University! At CURL we offer high level coaching, great socials, and a full year of fixtures. We are committed to fostering a competative and inclusive environment where every member can thrive both on and off the field!
This season we have a full schedule in Southern 1, the second tier of BUCS RL! We also compete in 9s tournaments during the year, including the Wales Rugby League 9s where we play some of the best in the country. Let's not forget about the highly anticipated Welsh Varsity where we face our rivals Swansea University.
What does a membership include?
We have one of the cheapest memberships in the AU and it comes with a lot of benefits! We offer multiple training sessions a week led by experienced members of Wales Rugby League. Our fixture list is packed too, so you will not be short of playing experience. This can lead to international honours such as representing your nation or Great Britain in the summer.
You will also be welcome to join our weekly socials which will be some of best times you will have at University. If drinking is not for you, we also offer sober socials during the term, so there is something for everyone!
We also pride ourselves on charity work throughout the year. Last year we participated in Movember and held our own pub quiz, we also ran 1000km in January for MNDA raising over £1500! These are targets we want to smash this year which you can get involved in.
