Feminist Society
Whether you're curious about feminism or already passionate about the cause, Cardiff University Feminist Society is for you! We welcome members of all genders who are interested in learning more, taking an active stance against gender inequality, and want to make amazing friends!
What do we do?
We hold regular, casual discussion meetings every Tuesday between 6-7pm that provide a safe space to discuss a wide range of feminist topics, sharing our own experiences and building plans for further activism. All our discussions are rooted in intersectional thinking, acknowledging how different parts of our identity impact our lives.
Furthermore, we also host a variety of fun socials, both sober and non-sober, including club nights, film screenings, crafts, picnics and pub trips. See below and follow our instagram account (@cufeminists) for upcoming events! These are such great opportunities to connect with like-minded people and to have some fun :)
Additionally, Feminist Society works closely with many local and international gender equality charities, hosting fundraisers throughout the year. Our largest fundraiser, and a key highlight in the calendar, is the International Women's Day Showcase. It showcases the extraordinary talent of women in and around our local community, boasting an impressive and exciting evening of dance, music and more!!
Across all these activities and events, we aim to be as intersectional as possible, considering feminism in relation to race, social class, disability and LGBTQ+ issues.
Memberships!
Our memberships are £7 and include access to all meetings, activities, and events hosted by the Feminist Society. Most events are free, but for the few that require additional costs to make the event possible, you will always be notified of this. Once you have purchased a membership, message our Instagram (@cufeminists) with your full name, proof of membership purchase, and phone number to be added to our WhatsApp group chat!

We can refunded your membership up to 2 weeks after you have purchased it. After this 2 week period, memberships are non-refundable. Please email us if you would like to refund your membership, email us at [email protected] .
