Come along to the ‘Go Exploring’ team’s day out to Dan Yr Ogof Caves! Join us as we head underground for a day of exploring historic and mysteriously magical caves. The day will involve a casual walk through caves with participants welcome to explore at their own pace.
What's included with my ticket?
THERE IS AN ENTRY CHARGE WHICH IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS £10 TICKET.
Your £10 ticket only covers the coach transport to and from Dan Yr Ogof Caves. You will be able to pay for entry when we arrive at the caves.
Standard admission charges are £14 per person. Though we will hopefully get a reduced price for you as part of the group to be confirmed by 1st December 2015.
What do I need to bring?
This walk is designed to be fairly easy-going, the ground being fairly flat and not too grueling. That said we would always strongly advice that all students/explorers be prepared and bring the following:

Shoes with suitable grip (you’ll be walking through wet caves!)

A warm waterproof jacket or coat

Plenty of warm layers

A rucksack

At least two bottles of water

Snacks
Hats, scarf and gloves, and an extra mac are also quite useful to have in your back pack.
What's the Itinerary for the day?
The coaches will be leaving very strictly from the front of the Students' Union building at 11am. We're aiming to be back no later than 7pm.
It's designed to be a fairly easy going day, with no particular rush and plenty of breaks to accommodate a variety of walking abilities.

When we arrive you’ll be free to explore the caves at your own pace, just make sure you’re back at the bus before we leave!

Q. Is this a difficult walk?
A. No, our guide has classified this walk as being beginner - medium ability. The caves are a family friendly trails.
Q. Are trainers okay for this walk?
A. Any foot wear with suitable grip should be suitable.
Q. I have very mild asthma and/or some allergies, should I mention that when I sign up?
A. Yes please.
