Important Information
You need to collect your student card before you come to collect your Freshers' Wristband. You need to have your Student ID card and wristband for entry into Freshers' events. Once wristbands are on they cannot be removed for the duration of Freshers.
Frequently asked questions
Are Freshers events just for first year students?
No. Freshers events are open to any students from any year of study
Do I have to buy one before I arrive?
If you would like to attend all of the freshers events you should purchase a wristband in advance as they will sell out.
Will I be able to tickets on the door?
Some nights may have extra tickets on the door, however we cannot guarantee there will be tickets available for every night.
Are other wristbands types available?
Only wristbands bought from www.cardiffstudents.com/boxoffice or from the CardiffSU app are official Cardiff University wristbands. Other promoters in the city centre will have their own versions but they are not associated with Cardiff University.
Can I just buy a tickets for Freshers’ Ball?
Yes they are £20, however if you buy an all inclusive band your ball ticket will be included.
What is the last date I can buy a wristband or ball ticket?
When they sell out
If they sell out, will extras be released ?
There may be some tickets for individual nights but no extra wristbands
Will I receive my order by post?
No. You will receive an E ticket that you need to bring with you to pick up your wristband. You can also print out your E Ticket by going to your Purchase History.
Where can I collect my wristband?
You can collect your wristband from Wednesday 18th September from Cardiff University Student’s Union. You will need to collect your student ID card first then collect your wristband.
What do I need to bring with me when I collect my band?
You need to bring your student ID card and a copy of your E ticket.
For collection, do I need to bring the debit / credit card which was used to buy my band?
No you just need to bring your student ID card and E ticket.
