Student Minds - self-care evening
4E (4th floor of SU) • Fri 06 March 2020 19:00-21:00
Join Student Minds for an evening of self-care as part of Eating Disorders Awareness Week
Student Minds are hosting a self-care evening, which will include making DIY face masks, bath salts and heat-pads, as well as providing space and time for some self-love notecards and positive affirmations. Biscuits and tea/coffee will be provided!
Practising self-care tends to improve our immunity, increase positive thinking and make us less susceptible to stress, depression, anxiety and other emotional health issues. Taking time out to care for ourselves helps remind us and others that our needs are important, too
Entry is free, so please do come along. If you could 'buy' a free ticket to give us an indication of numbers to expect, that would be great!
As the event is part of our Eating Disorders Awareness Week, we will be collecting donations for Student Minds (charity number: 1142783) and Beat (charity number: 801343). Student Minds is the UK's leading mental health charity, and we run peer-support groups to help students at Cardiff - more information about our work within the university can be found here. Beat is the UK's leading eating disorders charity, and they aim to end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders - more information about the charity's work can be found here.
If you'd like to buy a £1 raffle ticket to enter into our draw to win aself-care hamper, then you can do so under the 'Products' page of the Student Minds homepage.
