Originally set up by a Medic Undergraduate student in 2015, students helped redistribute foodstuffs from the Students’ Union and University catering outlets to local homelessness charities with the dual aims of reducing food waste and providing for those in poverty.
This project now helps to run the Cathays Community Fridge project based at Cathays Community Centre - a community fridge where surplus food is donated by local businesses and shared freely between people in the community.
