What's the role?
Each Sabbatical Officer has at least one executive committee which is designed to shape and support their work. Executive Committees also play a role in holding the Sabbatical Officers to account.
What are the benefits?
Executive Committee members have the opportunity to support the Sabbatical Officers in the development of policy, running outreach activity, or simply putting on events and running activities that students want to see. They also send delagates to accountability panels, which review the work of the officers. If you're interested in working closely with the Sabbatical Officers, joining an executive committee is the perfect way to do that.
How to get involved
Any student can put themself forward to sit on an officer's executive committee. You can nominate yourself in the Autumn Elections, or apply for selection to the officer directly. If you have any questions about how you can join an officer's executive committee, you can reach out to the officer or contact link:democracy@cardiff.ac.uk.
