Student Science Superheroes

Student Science Superheroes

Cancer Research Wales needs students to help develop a school-based information booklet to raise awareness at an early age of the importance and wonders of science.

You’ll be working closely with Cancer Research Wales’ Community Fundraiser and their Scientific Projects & Communication Manager, Dr Lee Campbell, as well as Science Officer Dr Bethany Routley, to develop their NEW school programme.

Once fully developed this pack will form part of a Wales-wide outreach education programme for primary schools with students being offered the opportunity to support/deliver sessions. This is an amazing opportunity to help develop and pilot a brilliant new resource tool with a National Charity. To participate in school visits you need to apply for a DBS check with Cardiff Volunteering. The project is also suitable if you are a STEM Ambassador or thinking of becoming one.
