This project is running through the summer
Oasis Cardiff works with refugees and asylum seekers. The centre is open Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 4pm and we are looking for volunteers who can give a couple of hours a week during these times. The role is very varied, you could be running social activities, helping beneficiaries with form-filling, assisting in the kitchen, helping on reception, assisting with ESOL English conversation classe, befriending individuals or helping out in the on-site crèche.
The crèche runs between 10.30am and 12pm Monday-Thursday, allowing beneficiaries to leave their children safely whilst they attend classes and training at the centre. Volunteers would encourage children to engage in play activities. You will need a valid DBS if you would like to volunteer in the crèche.
