Please note you do not need previous experience to apply for this role and you will not be undergoing any clinical activity in this role. You must be aged 16-25 to be eligible for this project.
The aims are to act as creators and facilitators in small teams to befriend patients, deliver activity sessions and engaging patients on your allocated ward for those who are staying in the hospital for a variety of reasons.
Location is allocated to you and could be University hospital wales (Heath Hospital), University hospital Llandough or St Davids Hospital. All train and bus tickets to and from volunteering are reimbursed.
You will receive training and inductions before volunteering.
Enhanced DBS (this is done by Cardiff Volunteering free of charge)
Occupational Health Check (A short questionnaire free of charge)
One-two hours of volunteering a week.
