Family Hostel Volunteering

Family Hostel Volunteering

In partnership with Cardiff Council Housing Services, this project won our Community Impact Award in 2018! As a volunteer you have the opportunity to engage with people at risk of homelessness at either Greenfarm family hostel or Adams Court family hostel (you will be allocated to one hostel for the duration of your time as volunteer on this project for the academic year). We are looking for 12 confident student volunteers.

Activities could range from arts and crafts to playing games or baking to just having a cup of coffee and a chat. You will visit during term time on Wednesday afternoons with your fellow volunteers and your lead volunteer. Full training given and you'll also receive the benefits of that of a Cardiff Council member of staff. Such a rewarding project that the beneficiaries (adults and children) really enjoy, as well as the volunteers.
