Engineers without Borders Society

First EWB Egg Drop Contest

Tuesday 03 October 2017, 5:30pm - 8pm

Back of SU (Magic Wrap)

Event Information

Get to know the Engineers without Borders Society and make new friends at our first ever Egg Drop Contest! We will split into small groups and brainstorm to come up with the best way to save our eggs from cracking when being dropped – first, it will be just a few metres above the ground and as ultimate challenge we will drop our eggs out of a second-floor window! Our meeting point is at the back of the SU at 5:30pm, from where we will walk together to our event location: The Engineering Forum at Queen’s Buildings.
Several types of recycled materials and tools to build your contraptions will be provided, but if you have a specific idea in mind feel free to bring along what you need. The specific competition rules, as well as the prize that will be awarded to the winning team, will be announced at the event. An independent and voluntary trip to a nearby pub will follow the Egg Drop :)

It'd be great if you could bring your own pen, scissors and glue, as we might not have enough stationary for everyone.
