Event Information
You will meet at the Cardiff Volunteering offices at 17:00 and walk to the RNIB HQ in the City Centre. There you will meet up with a number of visually impaired service users and receive training from RNIB staff in ‘sighted guiding’. You will be given the opportunity to try out ‘sim specs’, which imitate various eye conditions to give an idea of what life may be like for a person with a visual impairment. You will then walk with a service user to a local bowling and, just to make things more interesting, you will have to play wearing the sim specs! The evening should end at about 20:00.
