Important Elections Dates

  • Nominations close: Tuesday 4 Feburary 11am
  • Candidate Meeting: Tuesday 4 Feburary 5:30pm
  • Candidate Development Day activity: noted below
  • Manifesto Deadline: Monday 17 Feburary 11am
  • Voting opens: Monday 2 March 9am
  • Voting closes: Friday 6 March 5pm
  • Results: Saturday 7 March from 2pm in Y Plas

Candidate Development and support

There are a variety of activities that support candidates to be develop. We also offer a programme of support for elections to make sure that our candidates are happy and healthy!

  • Candidate Development Day 1 (candidates can come-and-go as they please for these sessions): Saturday 8 February - 4J (Fourth Floor of the Students' Union) 11am - 3pm
  • - Students' Union 101: 11am - 11:45am

    - Campaigning & Branding: 12pm - 12:45pm

    - Public Speaking: 1pm - 1:45pm

    - Understanding Cardiff University and its Students: 2pm - 2:45pm

  • Candidate Welfare Session: Thursday 13 February - 4A/4B (Fourth Floor of the Students' Union) 5pm - 6pm

    Information on students' union sabbatical officers and Visas can be found here, however we advise that you get in touch with the International Student Support Office in order to recieve bespoke advice on Visas.

     

    For any individual advice or further issues email ISS@cardiff.ac.uk or phone 029208 76009.

    They also help with the visa extensions, checking application forms, documents and helping with submission that would inevitably come from taking a year out of a course.

    Note for Postgraduate standing in Full Time Officer Elections

    Please contact your supervisor to talk through running in our elections to become a full-time officer, whether you are a researcher or taught student. Please also do contact elections@cardiff.ac.uk with any questions.
