The Cobras have the incredible privilege of competing at the highest level of university sports, participating in thrilling away day events drawing thousands of spectators, including our Welsh Varsity match. Now, it's your chance to be a part of one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK, at its highest level, regardless of your background or prior American Football experience.
Training:
- Tuesdays: 7:30pm-9:00pm @ Taly 3G
- Thursdays: 8:00pm-9:30pm @ House of Sport
- Sundays: 11:00am-1:00pm @ Llanrumney play fields (on BYE weeks)
- Plus, our engaging weekly online classroom sessions!
Fixtures:
Our BUCs fixtures take place on Sundays and occasional Saturdays, starting in October and running through to the new year. Additionally, we participate in the UK's largest Varsity event against Swansea, usually close to Easter.
Coaching:
You'll be guided by our exceptional Head Coach, Shaun Vaughn, who boasts experience working with GB U19 and coaching and playing with the Bristol Aztecs, one of the nation's top men's teams. The Cobras have a talented coaching team dedicated to building a strong program.
Socials:
At the heart of the Cardiff Cobras is our sense of community. Our weekly social events are renowned as some of the best at Cardiff University. Build lasting friendships beyond the field in fantastic social environments, and connect with fellow students from across the university at our monthly joint socials. Kit:
Worried about equipment? Don't be! The club offers all the necessary gear at a nominal rental fee. All you need to bring are your boots and gloves.
