Unistaff Jobshop
Looking for casual employment while studying at Cardiff University?
Unistaff Jobshop is a free student employment service provided by the Students' Union which helps to find casual employment for registered Cardiff University students. Opportunities are available within the University, the Students' Union and with local employers. Assignments offered include bar, catering, admin / clerical, retail and manual work amongst others. These can vary in length from just a few hours work to more regular ongoing work.
Registration
Before you are able to use the service, you'll need to register with the Jobshop. To do this, bring your University Student ID card and your passport along to the Jobshop on the ground floor of the Union building. You will also be asked to complete a registration form. Once your registration is complete, you'll receive emails with details of job vacancies.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING RE- REGISTRATION
As a result of compliance legislation, Jobshop is now obliged to check students’ eligibility to work on an annual basis. If you are already registered with Jobshop, and wish to continue to use it during the 2012/2013 academic year, you will need to re-validate your registration by bringing your student ID and passport to the Jobshop between Monday 10 September and Friday 26 October.
Please note that if you fail to do this, you will cease to receive Jobshop emails and will not be eligible to take any paid work via the Jobshop after Friday 26 October, 2012. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Jobshop.
