During 2024, Cardiff Students’ Union is celebrating 50 years in its well-known and much-loved building on Park Place.
As we gear up to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our beloved Students' Union building, we want to hear your stories that have shaped the heart and soul of this iconic space!
The building has been blessed with the best student nightclub scenes. We want your memories from the dance floors at Solus, the Hanging Gardens or were you busting moves at Terminal 396?
Who could forget the famous Students’ Union steps? So recognisable on Park Place, the steps were removed in 2019 to make way for the new Centre for Student Life and it was great to see the outpouring of love for their brown-brick majesty when we shared this news!
Remember those late-night study sessions? The countless Magic Wrap lunches fuelling your student adventures? The dance floors that transformed from Y Plas to pub quizzes in The Taf and beyond? Share those moments that made the Students' Union your second home.
Did you head to our building to make placards for important campaigns, or show up to protest for changes you wanted to see? Cardiff SU has a proud history of supporting students to campaign for the issues they care about, we’d love to hear your stories about speaking up for what you believe in.
Whether it's a wild night listening to live music at the Great Hall, a society practice in Y Stwdio or tackling a fry-up on a Thursday morning in CF10 Cafe after Rubber Duck, every story is a cherished part of our history. Your memories have helped define the spirit of the Cardiff Students’ Union.

Yn ystod 2024, mae Undeb Myfyrwyr Caerdydd yn dathlu 50 mlynedd yn ei adeilad adnabyddus a phoblogaidd ar Blas y Parc.
Wrth i ni baratoi i ddathlu 50 mlynedd ers adeiladu ein hannwyl Undeb y Myfyrwyr, rydym am glywed eich straeon sydd wedi llunio calon ac enaid y gofod eiconig hwn!
Mae'r adeilad wedi cynnal y clybiau nos gorau i fyfyrwyr. Rydyn ni eisiau eich atgofion o'r lloriau dawnsio yn Solus, Hanging Garden a Terminal 396?
Pwy allai anghofio grisiau enwog Undeb y Myfyrwyr? Cafodd y grisiau adnabyddus ar Blas y Parc eu dymchwel yn 2019 i greu lle i’r Ganolfan Bywyd Myfyrwyr newydd, ac roedd yn wych clywed atgofion pobl am eu mawredd brics brown pan rannwyd y newyddion yma!
Ydych chi’n cofio sesiynau astudio hwyr y nos? Y ciniawau Magic Wrap di-ri i gynnal eich anturiaethau fel myfyriwr? Y lloriau dawnsio a ddatblygodd o'r Plas i gwisiau tafarn yn Y Taf a thu hwnt? Rhannwch yr eiliadau hynny a wnaeth Undeb y Myfyrwyr yn ail gartref i chi.
Wnaethoch chi fynd i'n hadeilad i wneud placardiau ar gyfer ymgyrchoedd pwysig, neu droi i fyny i brotestio am newidiadau roeddech chi am eu gweld? Mae gan UM Caerdydd hanes balch o gefnogi myfyrwyr i ymgyrchu dros y materion sy’n bwysig iddynt; byddem wrth ein bodd yn clywed eich straeon am godi eich llais dros yr hyn rydych chi’n credu ynddo.
Boed yn noson wyllt yn gwrando ar gerddoriaeth fyw yn y Neuadd Fawr, yn ymarfer cymdeithas yn Y Stiwdio neu’n taclo brecwast wedi’i ffrïo ar fore Iau yng Nghaffi CF10 ar ôl Rubber Duck, mae pob stori yn rhan werthfawr o’n hanes. Mae eich atgofion wedi helpu i ddiffinio ysbryd Undeb Myfyrwyr Caerdydd.
