MathSoc is a society run for maths students, by maths students. Throughout the year we'll be running social events, and we aim to reach a proportion of 50% of our events alcohol-free. We'll also be running the iconic Maths Ball, a society tradition, as well as hopefully inviting speakers from the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) later in the year. We're holding an "Open-Forum" style meeting next Wednesday to take suggestions, meet members, and introduce the incoming committee. This will be in Abacws room 2.26 from 1pm to 2pm, on the 3rd of November.
