NUS Wales Blackout

Saturday 13 November 2010, 5pm - 9pm

Meet us in the Committee Rooms in the Glamorgan building

Event Information

Staff and students are coming together to turn off everything across the entire campus. Too often, staff and students leave campus for the weekend, leaving lights on, appliances plugged in, monitors on standby, and dozens more examples of needless energy wastage.

We're trying to make a difference to OUR world by taking a simple step to tackle energy wastage, on a campus-wide, collective scale.

We’re seeing a huge step up in sustainability across campuses and communities throughout Wales and Blackout is a really exciting part of this work, and we can’t wait to tell you about the amazing impact it’s going to have.

How to get involved:
1. Sign up for FREE. Come along to Blackout and get a FREE T-shirt and Pizza. Who knew saving the world could be so tasty?
2. Meet us in the committee rooms of the Glamorgan Building, where we'll all be briefed before setting off around campus (to save the world).
3. We'll reconvene in the same place for Pizza!
This is an excellent way of making both staff and students in the University aware of the small steps we can all take to reduce the impact of energy waste.
