About My Role
As President, Tomos leads the Elected Officer team
and the Students' Union as a whole and acts as the key link to the University's
Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellors, Council and Senate, as well as the NUS and
other key stakeholders.
About Me
Hello everyone! Shwmae pawb! 大家好! My name is Tom and I am delighted to be your Students' Union President! My mother is Chinese and my father is Welsh and I spent a lot of my childhood traveling between the two, and so I am very proud to be able to represent those two countries here at Cardiff. If you see me, please feel free to come and talk to me in either of those languages, as I could also probably do with the practice!
As a "hope to be" Biomed graduate, I love anything to do with science and biology so if you have any interesting science trivia I would love to hear it!
In the past year, I have been able to represent students at every level of the University as your Vice-President Education and i am so excited to be able to continue representing students as SU President. In the past few months we have seen just how much of an impact students can make, not only on the university but also the wider community as well. However, it also goes to shows how much more we can achieve! Now more than ever I want to ensure that students are at the forefront of decision making and that our voices and priorities are heard.

My priorities this year:
