Graduation should be one of the proudest days of a student’s life. Celebrating your achievements at the end of your studies is a key part of the student experience.
Whilst many aspects of the graduation events have been enjoyed and run smoothly, significant parts of the graduation have cast a negative light over the remainder of the day for some of our students/alumni, most notably, the gowning and photography. This has, in turn, tainted some of our students' graduation experience, specifically the class of 2020. For this reason we will be demanding compensation for those students who were significantly affected by this.
We recognise the hard work put in by university staff who have been let down by the external contractors and are very thankful to the individuals who have worked tirelessly to try and improve the situation. However, a significant proportion of our graduates did not receive the graduation experience they expected.
We are working with the University closely on this and should you wish to, you can raise any concerns in the University complaints portal. Please note that the University have specified a 28 day deadline for students to engage with this process.

Am y rheswm hwn, byddwn yn mynnu iawndal i'r myfyrwyr hynny yr effeithiwyd arnynt yn sylweddol gan hyn.
Rydym yn cydnabod gwaith caled staff y Brifysgol sydd wedi cael eu siomi gan y contractwyr allanol, ac rydym yn ddiolchgar iawn i'r unigolion sydd wedi gweithio'n ddiflino i geisio gwella'r sefyllfa. Fodd bynnag, ni chafodd cyfran sylweddol o'n graddedigion y profiad graddio yr oeddent yn ei ddisgwyl.
