Thank you to everyone who attended our official launch on 20th February. The launch was part of the official opening of the RCM Wales offices in Eastgate House.
The event was attended by a number of well know names from the worlds of nursing and midwifery including Professor Jean White, Chief Nursing Officer for Wales, Helen Rogers, Director of RCM Wales, Professor Cathy Warwick, CEO and General Secretary of the RCM, Professor Lesley Page, President of the RCM, Professor Billie Hunter, RCM Professor of Midwifery, Doctor Lucie Warren and Professor Sheila Hunt, Dean of the School of Healthcare Sciences, Cardiff University.
CMS President Chelsea Thomas along with other committee members officially launched the society, explaining to those attending that our aim is to advocate for all Cardiff University Student Midwives and to provide learning opportunities, as well as social events, to all members.
The event was a great success and a wonderful start for the Society
