Spring Elections take place annually to elect the students who will lead the Students' Union for the following academic year. Nominations are open now to elect the 2021-22 Elected Officer team. Students enrolled at Cardiff University are eligible to nominate themselves for the exciting opportunity.

Nominations open: Thursday 10 December 09:00

Nominations close: Thursday 11 February 11:00

How to submit a nomination: Head to cardiffstudents.com/elections, log in and submit your nomination.

You are encouraged to spend time developing a strategy for reaching as many different students as possible. You should also write and design your manifesto, which can be up to 200 words in length. We will translate this to Welsh, publish it on our website and signpost students to it, encouraging them to read all manifestos during election week. (Previous manifestos are available to view here.

Ordinarily candidates will also create t-shirts and banners and design posters. However, depending on coronavirus restrictions there may be few students on campus and there may even be a ban on face-to-face campaigning, so be prepared to run a digital marketing campaign instead. We will hold a compulsory online meeting for all candidates closer to elections when we will confirm exactly what is and isn't allowed to be part of your campaign strategy.

Mae Etholiadau’r Gwanwyn yn digwydd yn flynyddol er mwyn ethol y myfyrwyr a fydd yn arwain Undeb y Myfyrwyr ar gyfer y flwyddyn academaidd ganlynol. Mae enewbiadau nawr ar agor er mwyn ethol y tîm Swyddogion Etholedig 2021-22. Mae myfyrwyr sydd wedi eu cofrestru ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd yn gymwys i enwebu eu hunain ar gyfer y cyfle cyffrous hwn.

Enwebiadau’n agor: Dydd Iau 10 Rhagfyr 09:00

Enwebiadau’n cau: Dydd Iau 11 Chwefror 11:00

Sut i gyflwyno enwebiad: Ewch i cardiffstudents.com/elections, mewn-gofnodwch a chyflwynwch eich enwebiad.

Anogir chi i dreulio amser yn datblygu strategaeth ar gyfer cyrraedd cymaint o fyfyrwyr gwahanol â phosibl. Dylech hefyd ysgrifennu a dylunio eich maniffesto, a all fod yn hyd at 200 gair o hyd. Byddwn yn cyfieithu’r rhain i’r Gymraeg, eu cyhoeddi ar ein gwefan ac yn cyfeirio myfyrwyr atynt, gan eu hannog i ddarllen bob maniffesto yn ystod wythnos yr etholiadau. (Gellir dod o hyd i faniffestos blaenorol yma.

Fel arfer bydd ymgeiswyr hefyd yn creu crysau-t a baneri ac yn dylunio posteri. Fodd bynnag, yn ddibynnol ar reoliadau’r coronavirus efallai na fydd llawer o fyfyrwyr ar y campws ac efallai bydd gwaharddiad ar ymgyrchu wyneb yn wyneb, felly byddwch yn barod i gynnal ymgyrch marchnata ddigidol yn lle. Byddwn yn cynnal cyfarfod gorfodol ar-lein ar gyfer yr holl ymgeiswyr yn agosach i’r etholiadau pan fyddwn yn cadarnhau yn union beth gaiff ei ganiatáu i fod yn rhan o strategaeth eich ymgyrch.
