Welcome to the Cardiff University Law Society!
The Law Society is the largest student-led society in the University, with over 700 members in the year 22/23. Regardless of your degree, all are welcome to become a member! The Law Society is extremely committed to upholding our core principles of diversity and inclusion. Irrespective of your age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, academic discipline, disabilities or anything else which makes you who you are, there is a place for you within our community.
The Law Society aims to provide members with all-rounded experience, including social and educational experience.The Society strives to guarantee opportunities for members to establish network as part of the university experience and to build a career in law. The Society values diversity and inclusion as reflected by our D&I events, and are also committed to giving back to the community by working with charities.
Notably, the Society is dedicated to enhancing the employability of its members. The Society regularly host exclusive networking events with leading employers in the legal field, as well as workshops such as CV writing and interview skills. The Society works closely with leading international law firms, including Latham & Watkins, Clifford Chance, Linklaters, Slaughter and May, and many more.
This year, as President, I am looking to diversify the events we hold to provide an even more extensive experience for members. Further, It is my goal to ensure more non-alcoholic events. It is also my goal to better the communication between members and the Society, which is why I am excited to announce the launch of our new website on 11 September!
