Clubs and Societies

If you’ve already been thinking about joining some of our 200 societies, don’t forget that we have lots of societies specifically for Heath Park students!

These include a variety of course based, volunteering, music and educational societies. Whether you want to meet new people, play an instrument, or make a difference in the life of another person, then joining a society is definitely for you.

Aside from Heath related societies, we have loads of other societies in the Students’ Union that anyone can join. From debating to belly dancing; baking to the Jewish Society. Take a look here for the full list and more information.

If you have any society specific questions, you can also chat to your Vice President Societies and Volunteering. Email them at, tweet them at @SocietiesCSU or call 029 2078 1427.

The Athletic Union

Now is a brilliant time to get involved in sport as a Heath Park student. As Medical and Healthcare students you can join any of these clubs, as well as the specific Medics sports ones. The Athletic Union (AU) offers classic sports like badminton, rugby and netball, as well as sports such as American football, caving and ultimate frisbee. Find the full list of sports and more about them here.
