Event Information
Our sport is one of the mind; you do not need to be the strongest, the fittest or the quickest. To excel you need to be cool, calculated and controlled. This session will introduce you to our main discipline, .22LR Small-bore Rifle (live ammunition). You will be shooting prone (lying down) at paper targets at a distance of 25 yards. We will provide 20 bullets included in the cost. Wear clothing suitable for lying down in, i.e. don’t wear a skirt/dress. Please note you will need to sign a declaration form before shooting. We will email this to you and also bring copies to the Range. The club uses an external range in Penarth, and we require a minibus to get there. Because of this, there will be three bus runs leaving from outside the Students Union on Senghennydd road; leaving 11.00, 13.30 and 16.00. You will be at the range for approximately two hours. There will be limited spaces on the buses (10 each run), so you must buy/book a time on our Student Union page.
