Performance Readiness: preparing to compete

Event Information

The workshop is designed to give participants an insight into how to prepare mentally prior to performing. Athletes tend to have well structured physical warm-up routines but often don't consider their mental warm-up routine. Whether you compete individually or as part of a team, ensuring you are prepared to perform at your best  with your ideal mindset is an important aspect of Performance Readiness. 

 

The workshop will be delivered by the High Performance Programme Sport Psychology Consultant (Dr. Hamish Cox) and is available for both HPP and AU athletes (spaces limited). It will last approximately 1hr 30mins and will consist of a series of interactive tasks and discussions. Please feel free to bring snacks and water with you to keep you fuelled for the workshop!
