Hello again! I am calling all budding surgeons.....
Cardiff University Surgical Society are holding a bowel anastomosis suturing session on the afternoon of Wednesday 14th March. The session will involve some teaching on the key surgical skill that is suturing; followed by an opportunity for you to have a go yourselves at suturing real bowel tissue. The session will be lead by colorectal specialist surgeons. This will be a great time to ask questions and gain tips from helpful, informed tutors.
Bowel anastomosis is a skill that is part of the Basic Surgical Skills course. A course that is described as "a cornerstone course for all trainees taking up their surgical position" by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.

Tickets are available through the SU website very soon. Be sure to get your tickets early as this is a session very likely to sell out quickly. Both members and non-members are welcome, and I look forward to seeing you there!
