Event Information
What – We are signing people up to the bone marrow register
Why – To help save the lives of people with blood cancers. Sometimes these people need a stem cell transplant as a last resort after standard chemotherapy/radiotherapy hasn’t worked, and most of the time, the stem cells will come from an unrelated donor, just like you and me
How – All you have to do is take a quick cheek swab and fill in a form, then it’s a 1 in 100 chance you are a match, if you are that match, you can donate your stem cells and save someone's life
Time – Thursday 8th March, between 11 and 3, in the forum of Queens Building, School of Engineering. It will only take 10 minutes, it’s a quick good deed for the day!
