Jazz orchestra is a non-auditioned jazz ensemble open to all instruments and students from all courses. It is a fun and safe environment to improve your sight-reading, ensemble playing and if you fancy it, soloing! Unlike any other jazz ensembles we have multiple guest conductors from the band. We also encourage any suggestions or own arrangements from members. We cover a wide range of repertoire from big band classics to funk and even some pop songs. If all this wasn't enough we also have fun socials from going to see bands to just going down to the pub, so come along and give us a try!
