Event Information
In what is sure to be an interesting and unique opportunity, the History Society presents the chance to hear the first-hand testaments from a survivor of the Holocaust, Joanna Millan, who was sent as an 18 month toddler with her mother to Terezín (Theresienstadt) Ghetto in 1943. She was orphaned the following year after her mother caught tuberculosis leaving her alone in the camp. She will be talking about her experience during the Holocaust and having to live with what happened.
We are grateful to the Holocaust Educational Trust for co-ordinating the visit, and we hope that by hearing Joanna’s testimony, it will encourage students of all disciplines to learn from the Holocaust.
This event is available for any student, whether studying history or not. Make sure to get your ticket as spaces are limited!
