FAD is a dance society within Cardiff Student’s Union, offering commercial style classes every week at Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels. FAD stands for fitness and dance, and that’s exactly what we aim to bring to members.
Commercial dance is a fun, sassy (and cheap!) way to keep fit whilst being surrounded by an amazing group of people. It's most easily described as the style often seen in modern/pop music videos: think Beyonce, Britney, Ciara, Little Mix etc. We never take ourselves too seriously and welcome everyone to join, all classes are taught by committee members who are students here at Cardiff university.
This year we have been offering a Zoom version for all our classes and it has been going really well. Lockdown has fallen on the start of our new routine and so it only makes sense to offer a GIAG over Zoom. This is a great opportunity to fight boredom and could be a cute house activity, so move your sofas to the side and join us for some fun, sassy dancing!
