The Novice Cup is an internal competition held to give new debaters a chance to see what debating competitions are like in a small and hopefully relatively stress free event. Debating motions will be given 15 minutes before the debate, there will be 3 or 4 rounds depending on the number of teams and a final. This will be used partly to prepare for the Welsh Novices competition in Aberystwyth the following weekend which members can go to for £5 travel costs by minivan, free competition registration and accommodation over the weekend.
No prior debating experience required.
