Event Information
This event is on the 12/10 as it states on the event date on the website- we are trying to fix the tickets!
Join ANARC for our first historical site visit of the year and learn more about Llandaff Cathedral- one of the most beautiful landmarks in Cardiff. The current building was constructed in 1200 on the site of an earlier church. Due to extensive damage done to the cathedral at several points in history there are many architechtural styles that can be seen in its current state. We will be recieving a guided tour from a local volunteer- which is a great way to learn all of the sites hidden secrets and lore!
We will be meeting outside of the red gates leading up to the ASSL next to Hoffi Coffee at 10AM where we will lead a walking bus to Llandaff Cathedral via Bute Park (about a 40 minute walk). If you don't want to walk you can meet us in Llandaff using public transport (bus, train, or taxi). The tour will start promptly at 11AM.
It costs £2000 a day to maintain Llandaff Cathedral- so to do our bit, we are charging £2 per person and donating 100% of the proceeds to the Cathedral (Charity No: 1149800). We will also be donating the money that is in our charity account currently to Llandaff Cathedral as we cannot hold it as per SU regulations.
