Event Information
The British Sign Language Society will be running a Healthcare GIAG after the immense success of our event last year. We are inviting Cardiff Uni healthcare societies, healthcare students and workers to an interactive session covering the basics of BSL, a useful skill for use in the healthcare environment. We welcome anyone from absolute beginners as we will cover spelling and introductions in sign language, useful signs for scenarios in the healthcare setting as well as discussing the experience of D/deaf patients and how you can best support them.
All tickets are £1 and the money we raise will be donated to the National Deaf Children's Society, who support children and their families.
We will meet in the Michael Griffiths Lecture Theatre and begin at 6pm. We will also provide pizza as we appreciate many attendees will have just returned from placement.
