Hi everyone!!! CHIPS and MedSoc are planning to co-host an electives preparation evening on 18th February 2019 (6-8pm), location to be confirmed. This will hopefully clarify some questions you might have/ might not realise you have about the nitty-gritty of planning and applying for electives. We will be inviting F1s and F2s to come and tell us about their experience applying and doing their electives abroad. You will be able to talk to them in person and be better informed about your options and expectations.
We are pleased to announce that the electives night will be a FREE event, as it is one of the main focuses of CHIPS and MedSoc to facilitate an international experience for everyone.
To make the evening a better experience, we would like to know beforehand which countries people have thought about applying to for electives and would like some advise/ help. As much as possible, we aim to have people there who either have applied/ have completed electives in those countries. We would also like to know if there are people who would like the main talks to be broadcasted on Facebook live, with a platform for those who cannot attend to ask questions to the relevant people(s). If you would like that, be sure to also let us know on our survey.
